ABOUT

SILK AND WILLOW

Silk and Willow is all about experiencing the wellbeing through the meditative benefits of creative flow regardless of age, creative skills and experience, as well as natural therapies.

When you experience creative flow, you are transported for a moment, becoming immersed in your project as you create it from a place of pure intuition and ease without overthinking and logic. In the creative process you lose track of time and experience the pure awareness of the present moment,  fostering deep relaxation.

Similarly, natural therapies of reflexology and massage coupled with aromatherapy foster deep relaxation by engaging the parasympathetic nervous system, to reduce stress hormones, encourage slow breathing, reduce pain, reduce anxiety and improve mood.

Silk and Willow's founder, Michelle Mason has created achievable creative workshops that produce beautiful creative pieces people will be proud to display or gift.

She has also created introductory workshops to reflexology and massage incorporating aromatherapy.

With qualifications in creative arts for health, leisure and health, ageing support, reflexology, massage, aromatherapy and social science , combined with Associate Membership Australian Recreational Therapy Association and Affiliate Membership with Australian, New Zealand & Asian Creative Art Therapies Association, Michelle is passionate about helping people create space and time to relax, connect with themselves, and others through creativity regardless of their innate creative skills and natural therapies.

Engaging with creative arts, especially when something is new and yet achievable, helps us enter a flow state. This flow state distracts from the stresses of life and we enjoy our own time, or shared with those seeking the same solace, as well as having a bit of fun, expressing  ourselves and taking pride in what we create.

We hope you will experience the deep benefits of our workshops or products soon.
